False Teeth Options

If you’ve lost multiple teeth, there are a number of false teeth options available to replace them. Under the right circumstances, Dr. Loveless may be able to replace your missing teeth with dental implants or a dental bridge. However, if those options aren’t ideal solutions for your unique situation, dentures are an effective option. Depending on your goals, physiology and budget, Dr. Loveless may recommend either partial dentures or full dentures. Dentures can be removable or permanently fixed.

Partial Dentures

A partial denture is a single removable prosthesis that can be used to replace several teeth in your upper or lower jaw. Even if your missing teeth are on opposite sides of your mouth, partial dentures can replace several missing teeth simultaneously. This offers an incredible benefit if you are missing all of your back teeth or just your front teeth.

Similar to full dentures, partial dentures can be customized with artificial gum tissue and artificial teeth.

Types of Dentures

Full Dentures

Full dentures comprise a single, removable prosthesis that is designed to fit naturally and comfortably in the upper or lower jaw. Complete dentures are often made of an acrylic or metal base and then equipped with acrylic gum tissue and artificial teeth. Full dentures are meticulously customized to rest comfortably against your gum tissue when there are no natural teeth remaining in your jaw.

Implant-Supported Dentures

Implant-supported dentures offer several benefits over traditional dentures, such as:

  • Increased stability
  • No problems with slipping
  • Better comfort
