The economic recession has caused a drop in visits to the dentist’s office and more tooth problems that are stress related.

Some are thinking this issue has arisen because many people see dentistry as a secondary and not a first priority. A clinical research data company polled 350,000 people and found that nearly 34 percent of them did not visit the dentist over the past year.

The recession has also added to people’s stress level, which has created stress-related tooth issues. Dentists have said that they are seeing much more breakage of teeth due to grinding. If grinding does not break the teeth, it can cause pain and headaches.

Dental work is very important not only for aesthetic reasons, but also for the health of your teeth. If you or a loved one has been interested in receiving dental work, contact the Austin dentists at BridgeView dental to discuss your dental needs by calling 512-347-8299 today.
