How Veneers Work
Veneers are very thin laminates that are applied to the front of the teeth to give them a healthy, clean appearance. If your tooth is damaged or decayed, veneers are also helpful for providing a covering to protect the tooth from further damage. A traditional veneer application procedure involves:

- Taking an impression of the tooth
- Molding a veneer to fit snugly against the tooth
- Bonding the veneer to the tooth
Because traditional veneer application involves slightly reshaping a tooth and bonding the veneer with cement, this procedure is permanent and irreversible.
